Our regulatory rules and procedures

These documents set out the rules and procedures which govern RICS regulation.

From 1 October 2019, RICS have implemented a revised version of the Disciplinary, Registration and Appeal Panel Rules (version 8), Constitution of Conduct and Appeal Panel Rules (Version 5) and Sanctions Policy (Version 7) and supplements.

The rules have been revised and updated to enable more effective and proactive management of RICS' regulatory procedures, including Disciplinary, Registration and Appeal Panel cases. The updated rules are accompanied by a Practice Direction, to encourage compliance with case management directions and improve timetabling towards hearings.

The new rules will apply to cases which come to RICS' attention on and after 1 October 2019. If a matter came to RICS' attention prior to 1 October 2019, the previous version of the rules will apply.
